Eligibility and Entry Requirements

The award is open to new and emerging independent fashion and accessory designers, make-up artists and stylist. Entrants for the awards must have been educated or based in the Birmingham, Midlands region. 

Designers are invited to design and showcase a collection consisting of womenswear or menswear.  Your collection should consist of haute couture, evening wear or ready to wear. Designers must create outstanding innovative designs that stand out and are appealing to consumers.  

Application process

  • Choose a category you would like to enter.
  • Complete all sections of the entry form include your biography and an overview of your design concept (max.200 words).
  • Each entry must be accompanied by your completed entry form together with one photo image of yourself and 4 - 6 high quality photo images of the key looks from your current collection.
  • Stylists and Make-up artists submit photo images or a mood board demonstrating your technical ability.
  • Images must not be larger than 1MB and must be in .jpeg format. Photo images must be in .jpg format, 300 dpi (Max 50MB)
  • A team of industry professionals will review all submissions and select the most promising designers to showcase their work on a professional platform at the Midlands Fashion Awards.
  • Shortlisted applicants will be informed by email of the next stage.

Exhibiting  

Applications are welcome from individuals and small businesses who like to purchase space to promote any of the following - fashion, footwear, accessories, beauty products and services.
