Midlands Fashion Awards 2016

Created in Birmingham the Midlands Fashion Awards (MFA) celebrates and rewards fashion, creativity, providing emerging designers across the Midlands with the opportunity to showcase their talent.  The Midlands Fashion Awards bring together some of the best emerging designers from across the region and beyond. 

The Awards now in its seventh year of production, presents a stylish evening of fashion and provides the perfect platform for designers to showcase and promote their collectio to fashion industry professionals.. Recognised as helping to launch the careers of numerous up-and-coming designers, the event presents a series of fashion shows where the best innovative and cutting edge designers are selected to showcase their talent to hundreds of visitors from across the UK. Winning and being shortlisted for an award provides endless rewards for designers; from brand awareness to the chance to showcase to industry professionals on a global level.  

Previous participants have gained valuable experience and have had considerable success as a result.  Michael Wallace winner of the Emerging Designer of the Year  in 2014 has gone on to showcase his designs across the globe.  Michael recently saw his collection hit the runway at the pre-Oscars Fashion Show for The Stars  in Hollywood, Los Angeles alongside MFA 2014 finalist and Birmingham based designer Rose Perkins the designer behind the label FashionSista.  

In 2010 Emerging Designer of the Year, Victoria Bramwell enjoyed similar success with her mix of Wonderland Couture showcased around the world and was one of the final 20 contestants in Rihanna’s fashion show competition STYLED TO ROCK on Sky living. Gaining a reputation for her quirky work, she was asked to work on Kim Kardashian's brand Shoedazzle, based in Santa Monica, California.

As well as the much anticipated Midlands Fashion Awards we have introduced the Independent Designers Catwalk Show which will also give designers outside the Midlands region the chance to showcase their work.
