MIDLANDS FASHION AWARDS ANNOUNCES FIRST SPONSOR

Midlands Fashion Awards is pleased to announce The Flash Centre, based on Birmingham Business Centre is one of its 2019 sponsors and will be sponsoring the Fashion Photographer of the Year category. As part of the sponsorship, the Flash Centre has kindly donated the following prize to this year’s winner:

· A full day use of The Flash Centre’s Birmingham studio which includes using the basic lights package

· Use of the Elinchrom "fashion" lighting set up with large parabolic & strip soft boxes and use of the wind machine*

· Use of the Phase One 100MP complete camera system with a choice of lenses and use of the Flash Centre’s studio mac and software*

Jenny Eason, the Founder and Director of the Midlands Fashion Awards commented: “It is great to have The Flash Centre on board to support our annual fashion awards which are back for its twelfth year. It really means a lot for them to be sponsoring this category and the prize will provide a fantastic opportunity for our Fashion Photographer of the Year 2019.”

The awards are open to fashion and accessory designers, stylists, make-up artists and fashion photographers and new for 2019 is the ‘Sustainability’ category. To apply to take part in the 2019 awards, which will take place at CBSO Centre, Birmingham on Friday 11th October, visit www.midlandsfashionawards.co.uk. The deadline for entries is Friday 14th June.

Shortlisted entrants will be invited to meet a panel of judges at Hotel Du Vin on Saturday 22nd June where a brief interview and assessment of their collection or portfolio will be carried out. Judges will select finalists for each category that will then go forward to the awards event. The MFA panel of judges will include a selection of industry professionals each with experience and expertise in their field.

Tickets for the awards will go on sale in July 2019.
