Midlands Fashion Awards announces partnership with the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce

Midlands Fashion Awards is pleased to announce that it has teamed up with the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce as part of the 2019 awards and the Chamber will be sponsoring the Rising Star Make Up Award at this year’s event which takes place on Friday 11th October.

Jenny Eason, the Founder and Director of the Midlands Fashion Awards commented: “It is great to have the support of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce for this year’s awards. The awards were created 12 years ago to celebrate and reward fashion and creativity in the region and to provide emerging, independent and established designers across Birmingham and the wider Midlands region with the opportunity to showcase their talent, so to have the backing of this established organisation which supports so many businesses is fantastic.”

Anna Assinder, who is head of Future Faces from the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce, commented: “The Midlands Fashion Awards is a fantastic initiative and has very similar values to our own organisation in supporting and recognising young talent. We are really pleased to be supporting this great cause which provides a platform for local fashion entrepreneurs to showcase their work.”

The awards, which are open to fashion and accessory designers, stylists, make-up artists and fashion photographers and new for 2019 is the ‘Sustainability’ category have closed for 2019 but shortlisted entrants will be invited to meet a panel of judges at Hotel Du Vin on Saturday 22nd June where a brief interview and assessment of their collection or portfolio will be carried out. Judges will select finalists for each category that will then go forward to the awards event on Friday 11th October. The MFA panel of judges will include a selection of industry professionals each with experience and expertise in their field.

Tickets for the awards will go on sale in July 2019.
