Why Enter?

These annual awards now in its 12th year of production have grown to become synonymous with fashion and style. Covering the West Midlands, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire, these awards and prestigious event, brings together the region’s very best fashion and accessory designers, make-up artists, fashion stylists and fashion and beauty photographers.

Previous winners have showcased their collections at London, Los Angeles and Miami Fashion Weeks, been approached by high-end retail buyers and have gained prestigious press coverage, having their work featured in British and Italian Vogue.

In addition, previous entrant, Bottle Blonde is now working with musicians such as Paloma Faith and is stocked in TOPSHOP. 

Judging Process

All entries will be considered based upon their entry submissions, applicants will have the opportunity to present their entry to a panel of judges consisting of industry professionals.  Each applicant will be interviewed and their collection or portfolio assessed by the judges who will select five finalists in each category to go forward to the awards.

Not taking part but want to showcase your work? Maybe you'd like to volunteer? - We have opportunities for exhibitors, bloggers, volunteers and models at this year's awards and catwalk show.


Alongside the title, winners of Midlands Fashion Awards categories will also receive mentoring from industry professionals, coverage and promotion across all MFA channels and the opportunity to be featured in an editorial photoshoot in Style Birmingham.


Key Dates

  • Monday 18th February 2019: Midlands Fashion Awards officially open for entries

  • Friday 14th June 2019: Entry deadline

  • Saturday 22nd June 2019: Judging Day

  • Friday 11th October 2019: The Midlands Fashion Awards will be held at the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, CBO Centre, Berkley Street, Birmingham.
